I was blessed to grow up on a farm in rural Pisek ND and married my high school sweetheart. After obtaining my BSN degree from the University of North Dakota, I worked in nursing administration for 25 years. I then started my real estate career and never looked back. I am a mother to Sydney, Samantha and Jacob. And a grandmother to Luca. I believe in working hard, integrity, going above and beyond. I’m Josh Tuinder, a REALTOR® with Oxford Realty in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Grand Forks raised me. The Air Force shaped me. Real estate is what I do; Grand Forks is who I am.

I’ve been licensed since 2023 and I’ve helped more than 30 families buy and sell across Greater Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Thompson, and Manvel. A lot of them were doing this for the first time, or the first time in a long time, and most of them told me the same thing at the closing table: “That was easier and more fun than I thought it would be.” That’s the bar.

Most of my work is with people buying their first home and people outgrowing the one they’ve got, usually somewhere between $250,000 and $500,000. I ended up there on purpose. That’s the range where a bad decision costs you real money and a good one sets you up for the next fifteen years, and it’s the part of this market I know block by block.

When I’m not showing houses, I’m the Flight Line Manager at UND Aerospace. Eight years in the Air Force as an avionics technician on F-15s, 21+ years fueling and towing aircraft since. It’s a blue-collar job, and it made me a better agent. You don’t cut corners when a hundred airplanes and hundreds of student pilots are counting on you to get it right. The same standard applies when it’s somebody’s house.

I spent the first 7 years of my career in real estate flipping houses and on the investment side of the business. I have done it all. In 2023 I decided to get my Real Estate license. To be honest, I did not expect to enjoy the retail side of the business as much as I have. Buying and selling your personal home is often the largest financial decision for folks. There are a lot of details that go into a successful transaction. I love the process of helping my clients understand their goals and helping them paint a picture of where they are trying to go. I love what I get to do for a living. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my daughter, being at the gym or in my tent outside and in the woods…..And anticipating the next trip to Menards 🙂

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. I am the Original Mike Pence and have lived in Grand Forks for the past 20 years. I have been married to my amazing wife for 16 years and have 3 kids. For the past 13 years I have been a stay at home dad and although it has been a completely different position for me, I wouldn’t change it for the world.  Before making that change I worked at the hospital, Valley Vision and Tires Plus. From all of those places I really found myself as a helping person and love being around and talking with people. I don’t consider myself a “sales” person but will do everything in my power to help you find what you need and want. Family and helping others is very important to me and I want to bring that passion to my real estate career and beyond.
